For my oily skin, I can literally see oil seep through my pores like 3 hours after washing my face. But with my arsenal of products I’m able to look fresh for a large portion of my 8+ hour work day.

Holy Grail alert. Sorry to spoil the review but I love this tinted sunscreen from First Aid Beauty (FAB). One of my favorite skincare category is sunscreen because it’s such an important product to have in your routine. Personally, I’m working on treating my hyperpigmentation and wanted something to layer over my sunscreen which gives me a white cast.
Well, this has been the perfect product to add into my routine; the skin tint hides the white cast from my SPF 50, while giving some back up protection in the form of mineral Zinc Oxide SPF 30.

Apparently, the Estee Launder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup is one of the best-selling high end foundations in the market. I’m not surprised, because as an oily skin sufferer, this foundation has been my go-to. In fact, I think its kind of reached cult status (especially for oily skin people) and is a safe bet when you want flawless, long-wearing, full coverage.
But… I’m running out and want to try something new! Enter, the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer. I’ve been seeing this guy EVERYWHERE on blogs & YouTube. The Clinique has been getting pretty rave reviews. It’s long wearing, full coverage, and seems like a good alternative to Estee.
Well, I headed to Sephora and picked up the Clinique Beyond Perfecting in 08 Golden Neutral to see if it could replace my current Holy Grail, Estee Lauder Double Wear in Tawny 3W1.

Having oily skin, I’ve always been drawn to anything with the words, “matte, oil-control, shine free” etc. But then, the issue is my skin can end up looking cakey, dry, powdery, & pasty; words that I don’t like! Enter, MAC Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation in NC35. $40 CAD for 1oz/30ml.
The main draw for me to purchase this foundation is the satin-matte finish. I want shine-control, but a bit of glow too. I want my skin to look dimensional, not flat. I want my skin to look glowed up. But not greasy.
